The Society of Academic Urology (SAU) is pleased to announce an open call for applications for the role of SAU Editor – Section of Education in the Gold Journal of Urology. We invite interested and qualified members to submit a Statement of Interest and Curriculum Vitae (CV) for consideration.
About the Role
The SAU Section of Education Editor will serve as a contributing editor for the Gold Journal of Urology, responsible for curating, soliciting, reviewing, and editing high-quality educational content that aligns with the mission and strategic priorities of the SAU. This individual will work closely with the editorial team of the Gold Journal and represent the SAU’s educational voice within the journal. They will liaison closely with the SAU board of directors at the annual meeting in person and virtually throughout the year.
Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying and soliciting manuscripts relevant to urologic education.
- Overseeing peer-review of submissions to the Section of Education.
- Collaborating with the Gold Journal editorial board to ensure content quality and relevance.
- Promoting scholarship and innovation in urologic education through journal contributions.
- Serving as a liaison between the SAU and the Gold Journal of Urology editorial leadership.
- Term is 3 years and SAU is seeking a Editor as well as an Associate Editor.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SAU member in good standing.
- Demonstrated experience in medical education and/or educational scholarship.
- Prior involvement in academic publishing, editorial work, or peer review is preferred.
- Strong commitment to advancing the mission and values of the SAU.
