On behalf of the Society of Academic Urologists (SAU), I am delighted to share the outstanding results of the 2026 Urology Match! 

This year, 417 residency positions were filled, with only 2 unfilled positions nationwide – an exceptional outcome that reflects the strength and vitality of our specialty.

On behalf of the Society of Academic Urologists, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the medical students who matched and sincere appreciation to the residents, faculty, program directors, coordinators, and administrators who made this process such a success. Your dedication to mentorship, education, and excellence continues to shape the next generation of urologists.

We are also deeply grateful to our partners in executing the match, including the American Urological Association (AUA), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the Association of Coordinators for Urologic Residency Education (ACURE).   We hope you can join us at the Annual SAU Winter Meeting in Houston on February 6th, 2026, where we will share the details of the match at a granular level. The Match data will also be posted on the SAU website on February 6th, 2026.
